Who we are
We design golf putters with precision, performance, and adaptability in mind. The idea for our modular putter head began as a way to create a putter that worked for both my putting stroke and my Dad's. Originally conceived as a gift to partly repay him for the equipment he gave me over the years, the patent-pending design combines face-balanced and toe-hung configurations in one putter.
Born in Manchester and now living in the Côte d'Azur, France, I’ve found the perfect environment to refine my designs and bring them to life. The concept was developed to offer flexibility on the green. During testing, I found that switching between configurations before a round allowed me to fine-tune the feel for optimal performance. This led to the creation of 'Design no. 2,' refined with ultra-high tolerance wire-cutting techniques to ensure the modular elements fit perfectly and deliver exceptional performance.
In the world of putter manufacturing, the focus has shifted toward creating putters that are ‘automatic’ and ‘torqueless.’ While these designs may promise the world, they often come at the cost of feel, leaving the player disconnected from the instrument in their hands. At Sausage, we believe that the feel of a putter is crucial. We aim to make a putter that lets the player experience it their way, offering control and feedback that enhances their connection with the game.
